My name is Anna, I am 30 years old and I was born and raised in a small town in northern Italy. A mom from Lombardy and a dad from Sicily, I grew up in a miniature melting pot made of polenta e osei, ravioli and ‘mpanata – in other words, I learned from very early on to appreciate that diversity and cultural fusion is simply amazing. As soon as I had the chance to, I started traveling the world. I have lived in Stockholm, Boston and Leuven, and I was so blessed to meet and make friends with incredible people from all over the world. In the meantime, I also studied as a biomedical engineer, obtained my PhD in biomedical imaging and cultivated the passion for photography, which is now one of my main hobbies. I was lucky enough to have the super-creative Ivan Van Der Biesen as my first teacher and mentor (as well as a kind friend, with a talent for cakes), and I kept on practicing during our trips and meetings with family and friends.
I am fascinated by the endless possibilities that light offers, and enjoy the process of creation of a timeless image. I am fond of technical perfection, but even more of those imperfect smiles, tears and connections that make up every second of our life. And that’s what I want to capture – the raw beauty of life! As you can see from the pictures on this website, I will never remove a pimple, stray hairs or some extra kilos. I do not want to contribute to the creation of a distorted body image, or to the feeling of a fake perfection. On the other hand, I will always strive to highlight what’s beautiful in each place, situation or human being that I will come across – that’s my promise!
I currently live in Biel/Bienne, a multi-kulti town at the feet of the Jura mountains. As I am a voracious traveler, please do not hesitate to contact me for a photo-shoot anywhere else in the world. I share the same passion with my husband, so you might even get the two of us on the piece.

Je m’appelle Anna, j’ai 30 ans et je suis née dans une petite ville au nord de l’Italie. Avec une mère Lombarde et un père Sicilien, j’ai grandi dans un mini-melting pot composé de polenta e osei, raviolis et ‘mpanata – autrement dit, j’ai appris depuis très petite que la diversité et le dialogue entre les cultures sont magnifiques et n’ apportent que du bonheur.
Dès que j’en ai eu la possibilité, j’ai commencé à voyager. J’ai vécu à Stockholm, Boston et Louvain, et j’ai eu la grande chance de rencontrer des gens exceptionelles venant des tous les coins du monde. Entre-temps, j’ai également étudié en tant qu’ingénieur biomédical, obtenu mon doctorat en imagerie biomédicale et cultivé la passion des voyages et de la photographie, qui est maintenant l’un de mes hobbys principaux. J’ai eu la chance de pouvoir compter sur Ivan Van Der Biesen au débout – il a été mon premier enseignant et mentor, ainsi qu’un bon ami – , et j’ai continué à pratiquer pendant mes voyages et rdvs avec la famille et les amis.
Je suis fasciné par les possibilités infinies que la lumière offre, et j’adore l’idée d’immobiliser un instant pour l’éternité. J’aime la perfection technique, mais encore plus les sourires, les larmes et les liens entre les gens, qui composent chaque seconde de notre vie. Et c’est ça que je veux capturer: la natutrelle beauté du monde et de la vie! Je ne photoshopperai jamais un bouton, des cheveux errants ou des kilos en trop. Je ne veux pas contribuer à une image corporelle déformée, ni au sentiment d’une fausse perfection. D’autre part, je ferai toujours de mon mieux pour mettre en évidence ce qu’il y a de plus beau en chaque lieu, situation ou individue que je rencontre – c’est ma promesse!
Je vis actuellement à Biel / Bienne, une ville joyeuse et multi-culturelle située au pied des montagnes du Jura.
